Sound Settings
Guitar Pro proposes two different technologies useable simultaneously to play the score: MIDI and the RSE.
The RSE Sound
The RSE [Realistic Sound Engine] is a unique technology. It relies on sound samples made from genuine
guitars, basses, drums, and about a hundred other instruments recorded in professional studios. The RSE
allows for some extremely realistic playback of scores.
You can activate the RSE via the Sound > RSE menu.
Choose a soundbank in the Instrument panel Instrument panel , and tune your effects for each track in the
Audio panel. In the Mastering panel, you can adjust the sound for the master track.
The effects have been created by:
Overloud (www.overloud.com)
Guitar Amp, Effect and Stompbox modelisations.
The samples have been realised by:
Chocolate Audio (www.chocolateaudio.com)
The Ultimate source for samples.
Choose the soundbank:
1. The search field allows you to filter and select the
soundbanks based on their names. Whichever
soundbanks is already activated remains visible on the
score.
2. The selected soundbank is highlighted in blue. The
soundbanks have been grouped by types of
instrument to make them easier to use.
3. You may set the pickup selector (in blue if active) for the
selected instrument, whenever possible :
1. Neck position
2. Middle position
3. Bridge position
4. Intermediate positions
4. "Get more soundbanks…" Visit the Guitar Pro website
http://www.guitar-pro.com/en/index.php?
pg=soundbanks and discover the whole collection of
sounds available for the program.
5. An exclamation mark (in the global view) warns you
if the soundbank is not available. In case that bank isn't
installed yet, a substitute soundbank will
automatically be used.
